Conflict emerge later, but is quickly resolved by Ciel and our almighty butler, Sebastian. The cause of the conflict, Georg von Siemens is brought to the room to rest. Unexpectedly, he is found dead in his room later in the night.

Kindaichi Case Files-esque, not? Character introductions within the ‘boxes’; stating their names, occupations, etc. The variety of suspects guests, a big manor, and a sudden death case. Will they mention a “locked room” scenario next chapter? Haha, since Sebastian kicked open the door this time round, that is highly possible.

A premise is set, there are several suspects, the ones involved in the conflict. And also if I remember correctly there was a man who kept looking at Ciel when he was talking with Arthur earlier in the chapter.

But still, the most important part is not there yet, the one where Sebastian ‘dies’. Can’t wait to see what happens.

Summary: Break reassures Liam that despite the lost of his sight, he’ll be back in top form in no time. After all, he has always been coping well with his deteriorating body. On the way back to Pandora, Oz questions Gilbert regarding the events which happened at Sablier. Gilbert still cannot bring himself to tell Oz the truth, and Oz presses no further, instead revealing his seal. The clock had moved rather significantly since the last time we saw it. Not knowing what to do about it, Gilbert resolves to suggesting that Alice should be killed asap so as to reduce the burden on Oz’s body. Oz laughs at Gilbert, as he knows the “Gilbert-he-knows” will never do that sort of thing.

Oz and company then meet Rufus Barma and he reveals information regarding Sablier and the Baskervilles. In return for the knowledge, he wants Oz and co. to go to where one of the descendants of a sorcerer who guarded the seal (the one using Jack’s body to seal Glen’s soul) lives.

I should have known, but Rufus is a really dangerous character. Who knows what would have happened to Shalon if Gilbert didn’t step in. And of course, sending them to meet the descendant is suspicious, with the last page showing the dead bodies lying around like that. What dangers will there be, I presume even Rufus himself cannot handle, that’s why he sent Oz instead.

Anyway I thought the story was getting closer to the main plot and all, but this chapter introduced those sorcerer guys, I bet they’ll go roundabout looking for all these people and uncovering more of the secrets behind the whole event before the final climax actually starts..

This arc feels like another side story. In true Tegami Bachi fashion, Lag managed to deliver the letter (“heart”) to the recipient and it’s a happy ending for the couple.

Honestly, this series is one which I enjoy more from watching the anime, rather than reading the manga. The whole atmosphere, including the cool blueish backdrop and soothing music from the anime captivates me more than reading black/white pages. The story is intriguing nonetheless, but I would prefer if they would expand more on Gauche’s situation, after Lag brought him back. Correct me if I’m wrong, the last time I remember he’s still unconscious, and some higher-ups are trying to take him away? Ah, my memory is really bad.

I wonder if his past memories are back. Hmm I would think not, most probably his personality is back, but it’ll take more than that to get the memories (or rather his “heart”) back.

These recent revelations regarding Gauche make short arcs like this boring. Filler-ish? In a sense.

Summary: The Black Order comes under attack by the Earl and some Noahs. There is talk about the “Alma Karma”, created from a research 9 years ago. Which also happens to be the reason behind the attack.

Unable to come up with a decent summary actually, since I’m still quite baffled by the huge string of events which is happening after the half-a-year break from the manga.

O yeah, I wasn’t planning to blog this series initially, but since I found out it’s gonna be published monthly… I think it’s due to the author’s health or something? Well, I’d rather have it monthly than irritatingly long breaks in between..

First off, I needed to read the previous chapter (187 which was published sometime in August), which I did, as a matter of fact, twice. And woah, what a torpedo of information. The surfacing of the Noah members, the Second exorcists, Alma Karma.. The first time I read I was like, “W-What’s happening?“.

And Kanda, I see he’s gonna be the crux of this arc. From the looks of it, Alma was his best friend when the both of them were the test objects of the experiment, and the Order kept the fact that Alma is still alive from Kanda. The Earl seems to be expecting Kanda to go against the Order after this secret is revealed to him.

The Black Order is a very dubious entity in itself, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did something really nasty to Kanda and Alma in that incident 9 years ago.

By the way, I was hoping the Earl would keep his more-human-form instead of the fat guy. Tsk.

Summary: Break wakes up after being unconscious for 3 days after the company returns from Sabrie. Oz then recounts of the earthquake and the “uncomfortable” feeling he experienced at Sabrie. The company were then evacuated out of Sabrie, where they also parted ways with Eliot and Reo.

Just before they left though, Oz expressed that he would like to become Eliot’s friend, regardless of the strife between the Vessalius and Nightray families. Eliot, of course, have strong objections to that and goes on about how Oz pisses him off so much. But he stops in the middle of the outburst and tells Oz he’ll continue the next time they meet. Watching this, Gilbert begins to look depressed, questioning himself who he really needs/wants to protect.

Back in Break’s room, the company were having discussions on what happened in Sabrie. Oz notices something amiss with Break, but questions no further. After everyone left the room, the conversation between Break and Leim reveals that Break has lost his sense of sight.

At the orphanage, Phillipe talks to his “father” over the phone.

Opps, somehow this summary became really long. And I actually left out some parts too.

The biggest crunch this chapter was Break losing his eyesight. I mean, despite what he says/does, I always see him as a very valuable ally to Oz. The lost of his sight may prove be cripple Oz’s side, now with more enemies approaching. (What’s with Phillipe talking with his father? That was just creepy) I really wonder how long Break can keep this from the rest of his friends.

Eliot’s really a tsundere, it’s like we all know he don’t hate Oz as much as he says he does. I sure hope he won’t be turned against Oz unwillingly in the later parts of the story, but Eliot having those nightmares as from Glen’s viewpoint doesn’t spell good…

And Gilbert! As much as I like him, I think he should just get over his emo-ness soon. It’s been dragging through the past few chapters.

Summary: Following a rather hostile entrance (which includes attacking the Phantomhive servants in their srs biz mode) of the Double Charles, Ciel receives a request from the Queen to host a guest while he visits England. Ciel seems reluctant at first but agreed after Charles Grey expresses that the Queen has become doubtful of Ciel’s actions after the previous “incident”.

In the meantime, a doctor/writer is on his way to Phantomhive’s mansion.

Well that’s seems like a prelude to something really sinister,with the narration of the new character towards the end of the chapter, about him penning down the “tragedy” which occurred at the mansion. And of course, that shocking last page of our almighty Sebestian covered in blood.

Honestly I was shocked by the last page, given Sebestian’s abilities, I never expect him to be beaten, that badly. But I’d trust the author to bring in some really awesome revelations to the whole event next chapter onwards. I’m really interested in the guest Ciel’s supposed to host too.

The Double Charles will also be participating in the event, most likely under the orders of Queen to keep the Phantomhive under watch. Seem quite unfriendly towards the Phantomhive household.

And don’t one of the Charles guy look like a slightly younger version of Bard?
